The December Barnes and Noble trip...
Last year the B&N receipt looked like this...
and B&N paid me $74.32 to renew my membership and I paid for my purchase using a loan from my home equity line. This year, they paid me $1.81 and I paid with funds in the checking account.
I'm trying this year to not charge things on credit cards so the budget is a little tighter, I only bought one series of books although I did buy the first volume of a few series that I've been wanting to read.

I recognize the bottom three in that line. I loved His Majesty's Dragon, the Piers Anthony series was good (though the author notes in that series stopped me from reading any more of his work) and I've not read that Mercedes Lackey series :)
The top book is Ray Bradbury's Farenheit 451 one of my all time favorites which I bought for DS#1.
The 2nd Book is California Demon a series my DD introduced me to and I loved it until I misplaced the books. Then is I am Legend again for the boys.
The Incarnations series is the only Anthony series I enjoyed. I bought DD her own set after she lost one of my volumes.
Can't wait for the movie of His Majesty's Dragon to come out.
And the Lackey elemental fairy tales are absolutely incredible. I like them more than the Valdemar books.
